A Stryking Debut

3yo filly STRYKINGLEE showed she was set for a promising career after storming to a 5L victory on debut at Cranbourne on Friday night - WATCH BELOW.

The daughter of under rated victorian based stallion Stryker was perfectly handled by jockey Ben Melham, jumping cleanly from the gates and never looking in doubt as she controlled the race in front and careered away for a 5L win over the short course of 1000m.

Trainer Matt Laurie has given Strykinglee plenty of time to mature before taking her to the races and the team were rewarded on Friday in what was a highly promising debut.

"She has good gate speed and that is a big advantage around these tighter tracks" Said Matt after the win

"Ben controlled the race and had them chasing a long way out so it was a good effort all round tonight"
