Three exciting colts....NOW ALL SOLD

After a busy sales season in early 2016 Matt Laurie Racing was pleased to offer 3 exciting colts. Purchased from the Magic Millions and NZ Karaka Sales, trainer Matt Laurie secured three lovely individuals to cater for everyone's racing and purchasing needs.

In the process of being named, Lot 732 from the NZ Sales is a striking bay colt by ROCK ’N’ POP out of BJELKE’s GIRL, the half-sister to Trelawney Stud bred QUINTESSENTIAL, a 6-time winner including the Group 1 Queensland Oaks. Trelawney Stud in Cambridge is famous for producing Group 1 winners such as OCEAN PARK, LIGHTS OF HEAVEN, SUAVITO, FAMOUS SEAMUS, ALLEZ WONDER etc.

SCUDTIME is a strong colt by CHAMPION first season sire SMART MISSILE out of the fast American mare ESPRIT DE BLEU. With a fast international pedigree this impressive colt looks capable of getting up and early. Smart Missile won leading first season sire for 2015/16.

Also in the process of being named is Lot 1827 from the Magic Millions sale. He is a stunning horse from one of the hottest young sires in PLUCK, a son of More Than Ready. This powerful colt is out of the 9-time metropolitan winning mare Lil Cashy, who has produced one to race for one winner in the promising South Australian galloper CASHED - who ran second in the GR2 Schilaci Stakes. He is a lovely walker who covers the ground well.

He has been nominated in the 2017 Magic Millions 2 year old race and looks capable of getting up and running early.

Watch out for these 3 lovely horses in the next few months.
