2021/22 Season: Chartres shines as another successful year ticks over

Toronado gelding Chartres was a standout for Matt Laurie Racing this year, with a brilliant win in the $500k Vobis Sires Guineas over 1600m at Caulfield, ridden by Ethan Brown.

Settling mid field, Ethan made his move just after the 800m, taking Chartres around the majority of the field gathering great momentum to extend in the straight and win by almost a length.

Incredibly most of the owners in Chartres were also involved with inaugural 2019 Vobis Showdown winner Prince Of Sussex; this day truly has special memories for them!
