Four year old Savabeel mare Vinaceous has produced an outstanding win over 2040m at the Valley on Friday night, ridden to perfection by jockey Damian Lane.

Feeling the pace was slow and being nine lengths off the leaders, Lane made a bold move at the 1000m mark, leaving the rails and tracking wide to hit the front at the 700m. It was "catch me if you can" from there on! The move proved fruitful with Vinaceous continuing on strongly to win by a length. Such was the brilliance of the ride that Lane was awarded the ride of the night from the Racing.com panel.

Vinaceous was entrusted to Matt Laurie Racing recently by Dean & Adam Watt of Dynamic Syndications and the mare has flourished in our stable. From just 5 starts she has had 2 wins and a close 2nd placing over a mile, with Friday night's excellent win being the first metro success for a Dynamic Syndications/Matt Laurie trained horse.
